Indiana, Illinois Vie for Bears Stadium Site

Indiana and Illinois are both moving to secure the next Chicago Bears stadium. Indiana's Senate passed a bill to fund a venue near the Illinois border, while Illinois advanced a plan for a site in Arlington Heights.

Indiana’s Senate approved a bill 45-4 that would help fund a Bears stadium near the Illinois border, sending the proposal to Governor Mike Braun for final approval. The move brings the Hoosiers closer to hosting the team’s next home.

Meanwhile, an Illinois legislative committee advanced a bill to lay the groundwork for a Bears stadium on team-owned property in Arlington Heights. Both states are progressing toward a decision, though the Bears have yet to finalize any deal.
