Lebanon's Jayden Bailey Remembered at Beech High Game

Lebanon High basketball star Jayden Bailey, who died Feb. 19 after a cancer battle, was honored during a Beech High playoff game on Feb. 21. Fans paid tribute and a GoFundMe QR code was displayed.

During the District 7‑4A semifinal at Beech High on Feb. 21, a black table held a tribute to 17‑year‑old Lebanon High player Jayden Bailey. The display featured a photo of Bailey holding a basketball, his left‑arm amputation scar visible, and the words “Support Jayden Bailey’s Cancer Battle.” A QR code linked to a GoFundMe page for his family’s medical costs.

Lebanon’s senior Marques Anglin, who scored 18 points in the 46‑44 win, said he felt Bailey’s presence on the court. Coach Jim McDowell recalled how Bailey returned to play after an arm amputation and a second cancer diagnosis, describing him as a “hooper” who never let the disease stop him. No funeral arrangements have been announced.
