Daniel Munie scored two goals and Preston Judd added another to lift San Jose Earthquakes to a 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City in their MLS season opener Saturday night. Munie and Judd each scored four minutes apart just before halftime, with Munie converting his second of the match in the 54th minute.
San Jose dominated statistically, outshooting Sporting KC 18-7 and registering 15 corner kicks to three for SKC. The victory comes as Sporting KC enters the 2026 season following a major offseason overhaul with new general manager David Lee and head coach Rafaël Wicky.
