CJ Cox Powers Past Northwestern

C.J. Cox scored 27 points with 21 in the second half to lead Purdue to a 70-66 victory over Northwestern, ending a two-game losing streak.

After a slow start, the No. 14 Boilermakers rallied behind Cox's hot shooting in Evanston. His corner three-pointers and fadeaway shot helped Purdue overcome a late Northwestern surge.

Trey Kaufman-Renn contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds despite a shoulder injury in the victory. Purdue committed eight turnovers in the first half, which helped Northwestern build an early lead.
