Rahm Accuses European Tour of Extortion

Golf star Jon Rahm has accused the DP World Tour of extortion in their ongoing dispute over playing requirements.

Jon Rahm has labeled the DP World Tour's negotiations as "extortion," claiming he and other LIV Golf players are being pressured to sign a two-way agreement. The deal would waive fines for playing Saudi League tournaments this year in exchange for clearing pending debts and playing a minimum of European Tour events.

For Rahm, the agreement requires him to play six European Tour events, two chosen by the organization, to avoid penalties. However, the golfer is refusing to compete in more than four events, which is the minimum required to maintain his tour card.
