Lincoln upends O'Dea in regional upset

Lincoln High School, the No. 6 seed, stunned No. 2 O'Dea 71-58 in a Class 3A regional game, answering Seattle Metro critics with a decisive victory.

Lincoln High School, the No. 6 seed from Tacoma, delivered a stunning 71-58 upset victory over No. 2 O'Dea in the Class 3A state tournament regional round on Saturday. The win came in response to Metro League criticism, with Lincoln's sophomore stars Davion Shareef-Dulaney (22 points) and Justus Holt (23 points) leading the charge.

O'Dea, which had only lost in-state to No. 1 Rainier Beach this season, appeared shellshocked throughout the game. Lincoln advances to the quarterfinals at the Tacoma Dome next Thursday, continuing their remarkable tournament run after winning the 3A District 3/4 title.
