Brennan Wins Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, First Briton Since Cavendish

The 20‑year‑old British sprinter Matthew Brennan surged from an accelerating pack to take the win in the Kuurne‑Brussels‑Kuurne on Sunday. Riding for Visma‑Lease‑a‑bike, he out‑paced the field in a sprint finish to claim the Flemish classic.

Brennan is the first Briton to win the race since Mark Cavendish in 2012 and 2015, but he said he prefers to focus on his own performance rather than comparisons.
