Charlotte Hornets forward Kon Knueppel made history on Saturday by breaking the NBA rookie record for most 3-pointers made in a single season. The sharpshooter tied Keegan Murray's previous record of 206 threes late in the first half of a game, knocking down his fifth 3-pointer of the contest during a fast break.
Knueppel shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc in the first half, making his first four attempts. He had an opportunity to break the record before halftime but missed a contested turnaround shot from the wing at the buzzer.
