Wrexham Stalemate with Bristol City Keeps Promotion Hopes in Limbo

Wrexham were held to a 2-2 draw by Bristol City, despite leading twice, leaving them level on points with sixth‑placed Derby and stalling their promotion push.

Wrexham opened the scoring through Oliver Rathbone after a deflected cross, but Bristol City equalised early in the second half via Sinclair Armstrong. A second Bristol goal, an own goal by Joe Williams, gave the hosts a 2-0 lead, but Wrexham pulled one back with a late strike from Max Bird.

The 2-2 result leaves Wrexham level on points with Derby, who sit sixth in the Championship, and pushes the Red Dragons further from a Premier League promotion spot.
