Moore Granted Hearing to Challenge Arrest After Michigan Firing

Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has been granted an evidentiary hearing on March 2 to challenge the basis of his arrest after being fired for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

A judge approved Moore’s motion for a hearing, allowing his lawyer to argue that a detective failed to disclose the alleged victim’s close work ties to the Michigan football program, which could undermine the probable‑cause claim for his arrest.

Moore, who was fired in December and charged with third‑degree home invasion, stalking and breaking and entering, maintains his innocence and seeks to have the case dismissed.
