Baylor's Tyce Armstrong Hits 3 Grand Slams in Debut

Tyce Armstrong, Baylor's first baseman, tied an NCAA record by hitting three grand slams in his debut against New Mexico State, propelling the Bears to a 15-2 victory.

Armstrong, a redshirt senior who transferred from UT Arlington, launched his first homer on a low curveball in the third inning, followed by a fastball grand slam in the fourth and a high fastball in the seventh. All three homers landed in left field, and the Bears won 15-2 by the mercy rule.

Through the game, Armstrong posted a .750 batting average, a 3.000 slugging percentage, and 12 RBIs, becoming the first player in NCAA history to hit three grand slams in a single game.
