Wycombe Wanderers Eye Playoff Spot Under Michael Duff

Wycombe Wanderers sit ninth in League One and are looking to secure a playoff spot under manager Michael Duff, who has guided the club from 19th to 9th this season.

Wycombe Wanderers finished fifth in League One last season, missing the playoff final after a 1‑goal loss to Charlton Athletic. The Chairboys have climbed to ninth this season, one point ahead of Reading thanks to a superior goal difference, and have won three of their last five matches, including a 4‑0 home victory over Doncaster Rovers.

Manager Michael Duff, who took over in September 2023, has steered the club from 19th to 9th. A former Burnley and Cheltenham defender, Duff has previously led Cheltenham to a League Two title and Barnsley to a playoff final. He favours high‑pressing, possession‑based football as the team pushes for a playoff place.
