WNBA Union Sends Counterproposal to League for New CBA

The WNBA players' union sent a counterproposal to the league Friday night for a new collective bargaining agreement, including concessions on revenue sharing and housing.

The union is requesting 26% of gross revenue and a $9.5 million salary cap. They are also adjusting their housing offer to require team-provided housing only in the early years of the deal.

The league needs a deal by March 10 to ensure the season starts on time. If agreed upon by the end of the month, an expansion draft for Portland and Toronto is scheduled for early April.
