Knueppel Breaks NBA Rookie 3-Point Record

Charlotte Hornets forward Kon Knueppel has broken the NBA record for most 3-pointers made by a rookie in a single season, surpassing Keegan Murray's previous mark of 206.

Knueppel tied Murray's record of 206 three-pointers late in the first half of Saturday's game, hitting his fifth 3-pointer of the contest during a fast break. The rookie sharpshooter went 5-for-8 from beyond the arc in the first half, making his first four attempts before missing a contested turnaround at the buzzer that would have broken the record before halftime.

The 22-year-old guard has been exceptional from three-point range throughout his rookie campaign, establishing himself as one of the premier shooters in the league despite being a first-year player.
