7 cornerback prospects for Packers fans to watch at NFL Scouting Combine — and more

7 cornerback prospects for Packers fans to watch at NFL Scouting Combine

The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine week is upon us. It's a big day, with the defensive backs and tight ends scheduled to take the field for on-field drills.

The Green Bay Packers have a pressing need at cornerback and it's a safe bet that Brian Gutekunst uses multiple picks on the position during the 2026 NFL Draft. Here are seven names for Packers fans to keep tabs on today.

Will Lee III, Texas A&M

After opting out of the Senior Bowl, this will be a big week for the Texas A&M cornerback. Lee checks the boxes with his length and athleticism. He's a feisty and physical cornerback who does a good job of utilizing his frame to challenge wide receivers at the catch point. The Kansas State transfer has agile feet and the fluidity to stay attached. During his two seasons at College Station, Lee broke up 18 passes. He's a player the Packers could target with one of their Day 2 picks.

Davison Igbinosun, Ohio State

At 6-2 with long arms, Igbinosun has the frame that teams are looking for at cornerback. With his length and athleticism, he has the tools to be a lockdown boundary cornerback. He's a physical cornerback who uses his length to disrupt receivers at the catch point. Like Lee, the Ohio State cornerback could be a potential target on Day 2 for the Packers.

Charles Demmings, Stephen F. Austin

Demmings certainly looks the part. He’s a physical and athletic cornerback. Demmings finished this past season with four interceptions and nine pass deflections. A former track athlete, Demmings has the long speed to stay attached to receivers on vertical routes. Demmings could be one of the top testers and will likely be high on Green Bay's board when Day 3 of the draft opens up on April 25th.

Thaddeus Dixon, UNC

Dixon started his collegiate career at the JUCO level before landing with Washington. Dixon transferred to North Carolina for the 2025 season and was limited to seven games due to an injury he suffered against Clemson. Dixon finished the season with six pass deflections. The former track athlete plays with controlled feet and stays coordinated in his pedal. He’s a physical cornerback who won’t shy away from sticking his nose up in run support. He's a fourth-round player for me right now, but it would not shock me to see the Packers target him with the 84th overall pick.

Julian Neal, Arkansas

At 6-1, 202 pounds, Neal has the size NFL teams are looking for in boundary cornerbacks. He's quick-footed and has good short-area quickness. He smoothly opens his gait to stay attached on vertical routes. The Arkansas cornerback is a willing participant in run support and was dinged for just three missed tackles all season. I'm excited to watch him go through the on-field drills. The Arkansas product is another one of the cornerbacks who the Packers could target on Day 2 of the draft.

Devin Moore, Florida

Moore has an ideal frame with the length to tighten passing windows. The Florida cornerback has the vertical speed to stay attached on vertical routes and the recovery speed to make up for any missteps. He may or may not be on Green Bay's board due to durability concerns, but if the Packers feel comfortable with his medicals, he could prove to be a steal in the third round. With his frame and athleticism, he's worth the gamble, given the potential reward.

Domani Jackson, Alabama

A former five-star recruit and track athlete, Jackson could put on a show when he runs the 40-yard dash. Jackson lost his starting job in the middle of the season, before getting back in the starting lineup for the final three games. He's a player who always left me wanting more, but when you get to the fifth or sixth round, his athleticism could be worth the gamble.

PSG vs Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16: Luis Enrique gives his take

After the Champions League round of 16 draw, PSG have been paired with Chelsea this Friday. Luis Enrique has shared his thoughts on the upcoming clash.

Speaking at a press conference, Luis Enrique weighed in on what promises to be a blockbuster tie.

"Chelsea, it's a fascinating draw, as always. I'm very pleased. It'll be exciting to play against an English team, but there's no sense of revenge. These are different competitions. This draw defines our path, and we're used to it. We're the reigning champions. The pressure is on the other teams. We like being in the bracket—it shows we're qualified. Everyone knows we can win the Champions League, but to do that we need to improve. We're aware of that. We have to adapt to the current circumstances. What makes me optimistic is my team's ability to deal with all the challenges that come our way," said the Spaniard.

Despite a tough qualification against AS Monaco (3-2, 2-2) in the play-offs, the PSG coach has no doubts about his squad.

Norwich's Toure Out Four Weeks, Striker Shortage Persists

Mohamed Toure, who scored five goals and an assist in five games since joining from Randers, limped off after nine minutes of Norwich's 2–0 win over Sheffield Wednesday and has been ruled out for 4–6 weeks with a groin injury. The 21‑year‑old’s absence leaves the Canaries with only Mathias Kvistgaard as a senior striker, as Ante Crnac, Jovon Makama and Josh Sargent are also out for the season.

Coach Philippe Clement said the club must be pragmatic and that no academy striker is ready for Championship level. He urged the squad to contribute goals from everywhere, noting that the team’s danger now comes from wingers, midfielders and even defenders.

  • Trinity Rodman opened up about her recurring back injury during an episode of ESPN's NWSL: The Final Third
  • The USWNT star revealed what "100%" made the injury worse, which resulted in her nearly four-mont-long absence from the game
  • She was sidelined the entire summer, beginning in April 2025, before she returned in August that year

Trinity Rodman pushes her limits.

The USWNT star, 23, opened up about a recurring back injury that left her sidelined for the entire summer after being ruled out indefinitely by the Washington Spirit in April 2025 as she continued to deal with the pain.

During an episode of NWSL: The Final Third, a three-part ESPN Original docuseries that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the league while highlighting its game-shaping athletes, Rodman gave context behind her injury, which resulted in a nearly four-month-long hiatus.

"The injury in my back wasn't something that happened, it was more an accumulation of minutes. How aggressively I play," she explained of her lingering strain in an episode which premiered Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Rodman, who won an Olympic gold medal at the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, then revealed what "100%" made her back injury so much worse.

"Honest truth... how bad it was, was like extremely concerning," she shared. "I pushed through it, but 100% made it so much worse." She added, "This is something that's been lingering since the beginning of my career."

On April 19, a spokesperson for the Spirit told ESPN: "Trinity is taking time away from team activities to manage her back," adding, "We look forward to her returning when she's healthy."

The soccer star has previously addressed the topic of her back pain, revealing that she's been battling it for years. While speaking to reporters in March 2025 prior to her indefinite sideline, she said that she didn't think she would ever be "100%" healthy.

"It's kind of an issue of it's not one specific thing, it's just the way that my back's structured. And it's more so management than like a curable fix," she shared after Washington's 2-0 win over Bay FC. "So I think we've managed it really well and I'm happy with the progression that we've had."

She added, "But for me, I don't think my back will ever be the way it was my rookie year, which is unfortunate."

On Aug. 3, Rodman made a thrilling return to the field for the first time since leave. It was triumphant to say the least, with the soccer star scoring the winning goal for the Washington Spirit in her first game since recovering from her back injury.

Rodman, who hadn't played a match in 114 days, entered the game as sub in the 76th minute to cheers from the Spirit home crowd at Audi Field. The score was tied 1-1 before she made the goal to secure the win over the Portland Thorns.

After scoring the goal, the Olympic gold medalist — visibly in tears — was rushed by her teammates to celebrate on the field.

"Holy cow, that was just the hardest thing I've had to go through with injury and everything," Rodman said after the game.

"So, being back with the team, especially at home, with the stadium and the crowd behind me, scoring a goal like that — you saw I buried it. I was not going to miss it," she added.
