Newcastle United entertained Manchester United at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a solid start to the game but found themselves a man down in the latter stages of the first half as Jacob Ramsey was given his marching orders by the referee. However, Anthony Gordon scored from the penalty spot in injury-time before Casemiro equalised for the visitors. The two teams went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.
Eddie Howe’s ten men put in a valiant performance in the second half and managed to score the winner in the 90th minute when William Osula got his name on the scoresheet. The match finished with Newcastle earning a hard-fought 2-1 win at St. James’ Park.
