Reports indicated the Atlanta Falcons are set to play in Madrid, Spain, in 2026. The Falcons played as the road team last year in Berlin, Germany.
This time, the Falcons will play host in Madrid. The game marks another exciting city that the NFL will bring its product to.
Last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers expanded the International Series by bringing a game to Ireland. The expansion was very well received.

Now the Falcons will have a head start in planning their trip across the pond. It is unknown who they will play yet.

However, this early announcement allows the Falcons and the NFL to begin setting up logistics. The Falcons’ scheduled home opponents–other than divisional foes– include the Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The NFL’s 2026 schedule release is expected to be in May after the draft has concluded. More information may be released between now and then on the Falcon’s opponent in Madrid.
