The 2026 league year is coming up very soon. It officially begins at 1 p.m. Arizona time on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9 at 9 a.m. Arizona time.
The Arizona Cardinals have several roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is offensive lineman Christian Jones.
Christian Jones 2025 season
Jones missed a chunk of the season for the second straight year. He injured his knee before the season as he did in his rookie year. He was on injured reserve for 13 games, was active for two and an inactive healthy scratch for two games.
He only played six special teams snaps.
Christian Jones contract status
He enters Year 3 of his four-year rookie contract. He is scheduled to make $1.08 million in 2026 and count $1.15 million against the salary cap.
Christian Jones offseason outlook
Jones has to show he can stay healthy, but even still, he saw two other young tackles pass him on the depth chart (Josh Fryar, Demontrey Jacobs).
Unless he takes major steps forward this offseason, he might find his way off the roster.
