Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson publicly urged WWE to bring one of its marquee premium live events to the city.
The appeal came via X after Giannis Antetokounmpo attended WWE Elimination Chamber.
Johnson’s message not only addressed WWE but also placed the spotlight squarely on Milwaukee’s franchise player.
Milwaukee mayor pitches WWE event for Fiserv Forum or American Family Field
Johnson called on WWE to consider staging one of its flagship shows in Milwaukee, listing several major events and proposing two prominent venues.
He directly linked the idea to Antetokounmpo’s recent appearance at the wrestling showcase as an invitation for the worldwide leader in sports and entertainment.
“Hey WWE — Let’s host Money In The Bank, Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, or the next Elimination Chamber in Milwaukee at Fiserv Forum or American Family Field!”
“That way Giannis Antetokounmpo can check out the show at home.”
The post circulated widely as fans connected it to continued discussion surrounding the Bucks star’s long-term outlook.
Gesture comes amid scrutiny over Giannis’ future
Antetokounmpo has previously voiced frustration about Milwaukee’s struggles to advance deep into the playoffs, fueling debate about the organization’s trajectory.
Questions about his future have lingered as the franchise works to remain competitive around its cornerstone player.
Johnson’s public embrace of Giannis’ WWE interest may also be viewed as an effort to reinforce the city’s commitment to its superstar during a period of heightened speculation.
However, given that Giannis’ priority is to win another championship, even the promise of a WrestleMania might not be enough to keep the Greek Freak from leaving.
