Inter Milan are setting the pace in Serie A, not just at the top of the table, but off the bench too.

The Nerazzurri’s substitutes have now scored 10 league goals this season, a record for the current Serie A campaign.

The milestone arrived last weekend against Lecce, as noted by FCInterNews.

Mkhitaryan and Akanji both came off the bench to score, sealing a 2-0 win and underlining just how much depth Cristian Chivu has at his disposal.

Saturday’s clash with Genoa offers another landmark.

Inter currently sit on 64 points from 26 games. Victory would take them to 67 points after 27 matches, only the third time in the club’s history they would reach that total at this stage.

The previous occasions were the 2023/24 season, when they finished on 94 points, and 2006/07, when they claimed the title with 97.
