Doherty basketball advances 55-42 into second round

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Doherty basketball (15-9) dominated the fourth quarter in a comeback 55-42 home playoff win over Legacy on Tuesday night.

The No. 26 seed Spartans have strung together 11 victories in their last 12 games, surging into the second round of the CHSAA Class 6A playoffs.

Doherty visits No. 7 seed George Washington for a chance to advance to the Sweet 16 at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
