Hendricken, Pilgrim Hockey Honor Shooting Victims on Ice

Rhode Island hockey rivals Bishop Hendricken and Pilgrim honored the victims of a recent mass shooting with a pregame moment of silence and awareness activities.

During a Division I matchup, both teams shared the center circle for a moment of silence and wore orange to promote gun violence awareness. Hendricken defenseman Ethan Sykora added orange tape to his stick shaft to support the 'Shoulder Check' mental health program.

Pilgrim goalie Michael Bessette made 38 saves in a 2-1 loss, with both teams united in the face of tragedy.
