C.E. King's Dillon Mitchell Eyes 2028 Olympics

C.E. King High School sophomore Dillon Mitchell, who holds the nation's top 60m time, is already looking toward the 2028 Olympics while balancing his high school career.

C.E. King High School sophomore Dillon Mitchell has been making waves in track with record-breaking performances, including the current US number-one time in the 60 meters. Coached by his father Billy since age four, the 16-year-old maintains a humble attitude about his achievements, saying 'it's really no big deal' as he's been building for success his whole life.

Despite his remarkable talent—running faster than any freshman or sophomore in history—Mitchell and his parents prioritize him enjoying his youth. 'His mom and I are really proud about the fact that he's a kid, he enjoys being a kid,' said Billy Mitchell. The young athlete plans to play football and run track in college before pursuing his Olympic dream in 2028.
