BYU sweeps Fort Valley State in commanding victory

No. 7 BYU defeated Fort Valley State 3-0 on Friday night, extending their winning streak to eight matches.

BYU overwhelmed Fort Valley State in a 3-0 sweep at the Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars, led by senior setter Tyler Herget’s 35 assists, hit .468 and committed minimal errors.

Trent Moser and Connor Oldani each recorded 12 kills for BYU. Junior Teilon-Jonathan Tufuga provided a spark with his serving, helping the team secure the victory in sets of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-14. The win marked the first meeting between the programs, with Fort Valley State playing their inaugural season.
