Glider pilot sets 1,200km record in Central Australia

A Queensland pilot has made aviation history by flying more than 1,200 kilometres without an engine in a record-breaking glider flight launched from Alice Springs.

The pilot completed the extraordinary 10-hour journey across Central Australia, setting a new record for engineless flight in the region. The glider was launched from Alice Springs and covered an impressive distance of over 1,200 kilometers.
