Steelers' Wagner, Steel Curtain DB, dies at 76

Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Mike Wagner, a key member of the team's four Super Bowl-winning teams in the 1970s, has died at age 76, the franchise announced.

Mike Wagner, who recorded interceptions in the Steelers' first two Super Bowl victories, was drafted in the 11th round of the 1971 NFL Draft. Over his 10-year career, he notched 36 interceptions and earned two Pro Bowl nods while helping the Steelers establish their dominance as the 'Steel Curtain' dynasty.

Wagner's defensive prowess was particularly evident in Super Bowl IX, where he caught the game-sealing interception against Fran Tarkenton and the Minnesota Vikings. He also made a crucial interception in Super Bowl X against the Dallas Cowboys, helping secure the Steelers' second consecutive championship.
