McMorris, Spalding Miss Slopestyle Podium

Canada's Mark McMorris finished eighth and Cameron Spalding tenth in Olympic men's snowboard slopestyle, missing the podium.

Canada's Mark McMorris fell short of his goal of reaching the Olympic podium for a fourth consecutive time in men's snowboard slopestyle. The 32-year-old Regina-born athlete finished eighth after falling in two of three attempts, while fellow Canadian Cameron Spalding placed tenth.

McMorris had been sidelined with a concussion, bone bruising and abdominal strain from a crash during training. Spalding, the 2024-25 World Cup champion, also missed the podium. China's Su Yiming won gold, Japan's Taiga Hasegawa earned silver, and Jake Canter of the U.S. grabbed bronze.
