Canada's Mark McMorris fell short of his goal of reaching the Olympic podium for a fourth consecutive time in men's snowboard slopestyle. The 32-year-old Regina-born athlete finished eighth after falling in two of three attempts, while fellow Canadian Cameron Spalding placed tenth.
McMorris had been sidelined with a concussion, bone bruising and abdominal strain from a crash during training. Spalding, the 2024-25 World Cup champion, also missed the podium. China's Su Yiming won gold, Japan's Taiga Hasegawa earned silver, and Jake Canter of the U.S. grabbed bronze.
