Shokalook Signs MLS Contract After Stellar Next Pro Season

Erie native Jason Shokalook has signed an MLS contract through 2026 after a standout season in MLS Next Pro, where he scored a league-high 20 goals and won the Golden Boot.

Jason Shokalook, born in Erie, PA, was selected by the Chicago Fire in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. After excelling in MLS Next Pro with 20 goals and 5 assists, he was named a finalist for the 2025 MLS Next Pro MVP award before earning his MLS debut and signing a contract through 2026 with options for 2027 and 2028.

The 22-year-old overcame a challenging youth, traveling long distances for training before playing college soccer at the University of Akron, where he earned BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year honors.
