Milan x Como 1907 - Highlights, Summary and Match Report

In a fiercely contested Serie A match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, AC Milan and Como 1907 played out a 1-1 draw. The game, part of the 24th fixture of the 2025/26 season, saw both teams having their moments but neither could edge out a victory. Como, despite less possession, showed efficiency in their attacks, while Milan dominated the ball but struggled to convert their chances.
The deadlock was broken by Como in the 32nd minute when Nico Paz fired a stunning left-footed shot from outside the penalty area, beating the Milan goalkeeper to find the net. This goal, Paz's ninth of the season, initially silenced the home crowd and gave Como a surprising lead. Milan, with the pressure mounting, responded in the second half, with Rafael Leão equalizing in the 64th minute. Leão's goal, a spectacular right-footed strike from distance, found the top right corner, thanks to a precise assist from Ardon Jashari during a swift counter-attack.
Statistically, Milan had a slight edge in possession with 53% compared to Como's 47%. However, Como was more aggressive in their approach, taking 10 shots, four of which were on target, against Milan's six shots with four on target. The expected goals metric also reflected a more threatening Como, with 1.22 xG over Milan's 0.68 xG, suggesting that Como might have been slightly more deserving of the win on another day.
Both teams had equal opportunities from corners, with each having four attempts to create something from set-pieces. The match's intensity did not wane as both sides pushed for a winner, but ultimately, the defenses held strong, and the game ended with one point apiece. This result leaves both teams pondering what might have been, as they continue to navigate through the challenges of the Serie A season.

Official | Habib Beye replaces Roberto De Zerbi as Olympique de Marseille head coach
Olympique de Marseille have officially announced the appointment of Habib Beye as the club’s new head coach. The former Senegalese international right-back is back at the Vélodrome after spending four seasons with OM, between 2003 and 2007, when he left the side he captained to join Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Beye eventually made the switch from the pitch to the bench. He joined Red Star FC and led the historic Île-de-France side to the National 1 title in 2024. Upon the expiry of his contract, he then left Les Audoniens. In early 2025, he replaced Jorge Sampaoli as Rennes head coach and succesfully steered Les Rouge et Noir out of the relegation zone.
A run of poor results and various flashpoints with senior Rennes players signalled the end of Beye’s tenure in Brittany, although Rennes are still on course to fulfil their objective of reaching European football next season. Beye was dismissed last week and his exit was made official today, paving the way for what would be one of the greatest tasks at hand in Ligue 1 football: succeed at Marseille. He’ll make his OM debut on Friday against Brest.
