Arsenal's first-half struggles at Brentford shown with alarming stat 👀

Arsenal knew tonight's trip to Brentford would be a real test of their title credentials and the opening 45 minutes proved just that. 


While the Gunners started without the injured Kai Havertz and had the returning pair of Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka on the bench, they would have expected to test Caoimhín Kelleher more than they did. 

It would not have been hard given the league leaders didn't test the Bees keeper once with their sole shot going off target. 

Remarkably it was their lowest number of shots in the first half of a Premier League game for five-and-a-half years. 

That game against Man City saw Mikel Arteta lose 5-0 to his mentor Pep Guardiola. 

So much has changed since then but he will know a win is needed tonight to keep his side in firm control.
