Derry City manager Tiernan Lynch says his side "aren't going to get it all their way" against Dundalk on Friday night at the Brandywell (19:45 GMT).
The Candystripes scored a stoppage-time winner against Sligo Rovers to open their season with three points.
Now, Lynch's side host newly promoted Dundalk, whose opening match of the season against Shamrock Rovers was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
"A bit like in the Sligo game and the next four weeks, all the pressure will be on us," Lynch told BBC Sport NI.
"That is something we have to live with and, as best we can, embrace and enjoy.
"We are not going to get it all our own way on Friday night and it is important that we weather storms when they come and implement our game style. Hopefully we come out on the right end of it."
Against Sligo, Alex Bannon's strike in the 81st minute cancelled out Jad Hakiki's effort before Josh Thomas secured the win for the Candystripes.
It is an exciting season for Derry City fans with the side making multiple impressive close-season signings including the return of James McClean with Lynch adding the support was their "12th man" during their opening fixture.
"The fans played their part, they made it what it was," Lynch continued.
"We have been trying to get onto the fans to be our 12th man and they were definitely that on Friday night. For the players and staff, it was absolutely rocking and they probably dragged us through the game.
"For 30 minutes we were below par but I though the fans were brilliant. They stayed patient, kept supporting us and were noisy."
