EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Illinois Central College got the best of Spoon River in two basketball games on Wednesday night.
Kamryn Heider scored a career-high 20 points and the strength of six three-pointers as the ICC women beat the Snappers, 92-47, at Ramsey Gymnasium. Ellie VanMeenen added a career-best 14 points for the Cougars (23-3).
Javaughn Robinson had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the ICC men to a 78-67 win over Spoon River. ICC (15-9) scored 45 points in the first half, led by 14 at halftime and broke a three-game losing streak with the win.
