The Buffalo Bills are going to be a fascinating watch this offseason, and not because it will be Joe Brady's first job in the big chair.

But because of what the franchise does with young receiver Keon Coleman.

Two years in the league, and Coleman hasn't looked like the weapon Buffalo drafted him to be, but now that Brady is his head coach, maybe the tide will start turning.

And one way it might, as ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg wrote, is if the Bills start moving Coleman around the formation.

"For Coleman specifically, Beane believes he can play, and Brady loudly threw his support behind him," Getzenberg wrote. "If Coleman is on the roster for the 2026 season, Beane suggested playing the receiver more in the slot. (Of the 583 regular-season routes Coleman has ran, 473 have been on the outside.)"

Could this move fix Coleman?

Fix might not be the right word, but it is another thread to pull in, allowing Keon to get open and make plays.

We have seen moves like this work before, even with George Pickens and the Dallas Cowboys. Pickens was seen largely as an outside receiver, but Brian Schottenheimer moved him inside and got great results.

Coleman on slant routes, which allow him to utilize his big frame and then power upfield, is an interesting wrinkle Brady can throw into the mix.

At this point, anything that might help Keon get rolling is a good bet, and entering Year 3, we get the sense Keon has to start making plays more consistently.

And moving him around might be the key to making it happen.
