Days before thousands of people crossed a new bridge, a 'large crack' was found

Days before the official opening, the Tasmanian government's largest-ever infrastructure project hit a hurdle, with a large crack picked up in one of the Bridgewater Bridge's piers detected and fixed, documents show.
