JEFFERSON, La. (WGNO) – The Riverdale Rebels dropped their regional-round contest against Liberty. The Rebels were the No. 2 seed in Division I Select, while Liberty is an 18-seed.
Liberty led by as many as 14 points in the third quarter, scoring 18 total in the quarter, and Riverdale fought their way back in the fourth, even briefly regaining their first lead since earlier in the first half.
Riverdale lost only one game this season heading into the contest.
Liberty moves on to play No. 7 Teurlings Catholic.
