A group of U.S. skaters has already gained popularity online as a dream team at the Winter Olympics in Italy.
One of them is from New Jersey.
Isabeau Levito, who lives in South Jersey and trains in Mount Laurel, is part of a trio called the “Blade Angels.” Skaters Amber Glenn and Alysa Liu round out the 2026 U.S. women’s figure skating team. Glenn is the first openly queer woman to represent the U.S. in Olympic figure skating.
The three women have gone viral over the last several weeks, with fans creating countless TikTok edits of Glenn, Liu and Levito’s team.
Levito, 18, has 129,000 followers on Instagram and 57,000 followers on TikTok. She is the 2024 World silver medalist, 2022–23 Grand Prix Final silver medalist and the 2023 U.S. national champion.
Liu shared in an interview on Feb. 3 that the name “Blade Angels” was devised in a group chat.
“Isabeau was really set on ‘Powerpuff Girls,’” Liu said. “Amber had some ideas but I don’t remember what they were. I came up with ‘Blade Angels,’ but I had a ton of horrible ideas, too. It was a group decision.”
The figure skating team event begins this Friday at Milano Ice Skating Arena, with the women’s singles events set for Feb. 17 and 19.
