How soon should the Dolphins be contenders – The Splash Zone 2/23/26

The rebuild is underway for the Miami Dolphins as they started making moves last week that included the releases of Bradley Chubb and Tyreek Hill. There are still plenty of other moves that should be made, like the decision on what to do with Tua Tagovailoa and whether or not the team will find a good trade partner for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley will have their work cut out for them in year 1 as the team will lose plenty of talent but will get younger and built through the draft. If they can hit on a majority of their draft picks and make a couple smart free agent signings, perhaps they are contenders sooner rather that later. But with how Sullivan wants to build this team, it’s probably going to take a few years to get where they need to be.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.
