Uros Medic lives by the go big or go home philosophy and this time he’s leaving UFC Houston with a jaw-dropping knockout on his record after putting Geoff Neal away in devastating fashion.

With a 100-percent finishing rate on his resume, Medic only knows how to put on entertaining fights and he certainly lived up to that reputation on Saturday. After welcoming a striking battle with a known knockout artist it was Medic who unleashed a flurry of punches but it was a left hook that clipped Neal on the temple and sent him crashing to the ground, already unconscious before hitting the ground.

The end came at just 1:19 in the opening round as Medic secured his third knockout win in a row.

“Houston, we have a problem and it’s me. I am the problem!” Medic shouted after his win. “This division is in trouble. I’ve been knocking everybody out. I knock everybody out. Everyone. I knew he was going to want to box with me. I am an MMA fighter but boxing just may be my favorite thing to do.

“I’m sorry it had to be him. This is the sport we’re in. It’s hard to watch that but I’ve been on the other end of it. All that matters is you get upt and you keep f*cking going. Keep going forward!”

With two offensive minded welterweights, Neal and Medic were quick to engage with both fighters throwing hard, heavy punches at each other. Medic scored the first big shot of the fight after he caught Neal with a glancing blow that appeared the rattle the the fighter from Texas.

It was just a moment later when Medic threw a barrage of shots but it was the left hook that caught Neal looking and turned off his lights a split second later. Neal fell flat to the canvas as the referee rushed into stop the fight, although Medic already knew it was over.

While he’s faced some tough losses in his UFC career, Medic prefers being an entertaining fighter and he certainly lived up to that reputation on Saturday. Now he’s looking to add a former welterweight champion to his resume after taking out Neal in Houston.

“Next, Belgrade, Serbia, Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards, if he’s available,” Medic said. “I’m going to knock him out and the guy after him and the guy after him.”
