Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here at BTSC to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).
It was a sad week with the passing of former Steeler safety Mike Wagner. He was before my time, but a four-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Pro Bowler. RIP Mr Wagner.
The offseason continues and we’ve entered the unsubstantiated rumors phase of the NFL offseason where anything that can happen is reported but nothing actually does. Only time will tell what moves the Steelers will make but predictions and speculations this time of year are rarely tallied or referenced once the actual moves are made. This four-pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, so let us know what you’re eating/drinking!
1: Pittsblitz56 asked “Lend me your ears” and asked who are the all-time underrated Steelers in honor of Mike Wagner. Which was your favorite suggestion? (or give us your own).
2. If I gave you ONE (I mean only 1) single move to make at WR this offseason, but it can be any move (trade for, free agent signing, draft, etc.), who would you add to the Steelers? NOTE: Assume you have to pay market rate for the trade/draft/FA contract.
3. Nate Scheelhaase didn’t come to the Steel House, instead becoming the new OC for the Rams. Do you feel like the Steelers should have waited to interview him in person OR does him staying with the Rams signal he wasn’t going anywhere unless it was a HC spot?
4. In addition to being a Steeler Great, Mike Wagner was also into finance, rising to VP of a banking group. What the best financial advice you’ve received AND followed?
