Tennessee and Vanderbilt are set for their first meeting of the season today in Nashville, both looking for big statement wins. The Volunteers have stormed back into the SEC conversation after a slow start, getting huge production from 5-star freshman Nate Ament.

Vanderbilt has come back down to earth a bit, dealing with a couple of injuries. Tennessee has jumped the Commodores in the SEC regular season standings, vaulting into the top four. The Vols are in a three-way tie for second place now at 9-4, while Vandy trails at 8-5. Today serves as an opportunity for the ‘Dores pull back even.

Vanderbilt will also get back key guard Duke Miles, who was averaging north of 16 points per game. Tennessee’s J.P. Estrella remains questionable with a lingering foot issue.
