Over the past week or so, amid the uncertainty around George Pickens' future with the Dallas Cowboys, several trade proposals have surfaced.
Some have the Cowboys moving on from George for more draft capital.
But others have the Cowboys using Pickens as a softener in a potential deal to land a superstar player.
Given how important Pickens proved to be for Brian Schottenheimer's offense and what he can do just simply being on the field for others around him, the thought of purposefully moving on seems odd.
But the Cowboys have so many needs, especially on defense, that the idea of Pickens being traded away to acquire either more picks or a superstar defensive player, for some, does make sense.

And ESPN's Dan Graziano has put together a trade proposal that sends Pickens to the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Cowboys get Maxx Crosby in return.
Graziano's proposal:
- Raiders get: WR George Pickens, 2026 first-round pick (No. 20 overall).
- Cowboys get: Crosby, 2026 second-round pick (No. 36 overall).
"The Cowboys likely aren't going to fork over a long-term, top-of-market deal for Pickens, and franchise-tagging him could cause more problems than it solves (as it did last year with edge rusher Micah Parsons)," Graziano wrote.
"They get back Crosby, who will make around $30 million per year for the next two years and would replace Parsons. Then, Dallas could look elsewhere for its No. 2 wide receiver."

So Dallas keeps its No. 12 pick, and parts ways with No. 20 and Pickens to land Crosby.
Would Cowboys Nation do that?
It fixes one need for Christian Parker (pass rusher), but then it creates another because, without Pickens, Dallas once again needs a receiving mate for CeeDee Lamb.
With Ryan Flournoy, the No. 3 weapon, entering Week 1 with Lamb and Flo as Dak Prescott's top two weapons won't give Cowboys Nation much confidence.
But defensively, Dallas gets a star in Crosby, who will command big money with Maxx having a $30 million base salary in 2026, and $29 million in 2027.
So Dallas fixes one problem but creates another: they have only one first-round draft pick, and just one in the second round, then they won't have another until Round 4.
Crosby is a household name and would significantly improve the defense, but getting him could cripple the offense.
Should the Cowboys do it?
