Who made it to the CHSAA State Wrestling Tournament semifinals?

Day two of the CHSAA State Wrestling Tournament at Ball Arena in Denver will take place on Friday, Feb. 20, and 11 Pueblo-area wrestlers made it to the semifinal matches.

Day 1 had its fair share of highs and lows, with a few upsets along the way; those that survived still have a chance to etch their name in the history books.

Here are the wrestlers who still have a chance to sit atop the podium come Saturday.

Pueblo Central

  • Sonny Solano, 120 vs. Drake VomBaur, Severance

Pueblo East

  • Urijah Duran 113, vs. Tatum Garcia, Severance
  • Justus Freeman, 157, vs. Gabe Galindo, Greeley Central
  • Logan Trujillo, 165 vs. Thomas Martell, Air Academy
  • Elijah Contreras, 190 vs. Carter Woods, Mead
  • Michael McCullough, 215 vs. Hunter Shipp, Palisade

Pueblo South

  • Elijah Algien, 106 vs. Manuel Mota, Widefield

Pueblo Central Girls

  • Acelyn Duran, 100 vs. Addi Whaley, Soroco
  • Gionna Duran, 115 vs. LeJae Snyder, Moffat County
  • Isabella Mares, 120 vs. Samantha Maestas, Alamosa
