BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Auburn Knights faced a must-win scenario Wednesday evening if they wanted to at least share the NIC-10 championship this season. They came through posting a 63-47 win at Belvidere.
Auburn began the night tied with Guilford for the conference lead each with 15-2 records. Guilford also won Wednesday night at East leaving both teams with final records of 16-2.
Auburn was led in scoring by Amir Danforth with 17 points. Mikwan Marshall scored 12. Two coming on a spectacular alley-oop dunk on a pass from Champ Parker. You can see that highlight and more in our media player above.
Belvidere was led in scoring by Dominic Alvarado with 18 points and Demetrious Taborn with 14 points.
