Kristaps Porzingis practices with Warriors during All-Star break

When the Golden State Warriors return from the All-Star break, there's a chance they welcome back some much-needed reinforcements to the rotation, including the debut of their recently acquired big man.

Since being traded to the Warriors from the Atlanta Hawks at the NBA trade deadline, Kristaps Porzingis has yet to suit up in gold and blue. The 7-foot-2 big man hasn't played in a game since Jan. 7 with the Hawks due to a lingering Achilles injury. Porzingis has been inactive for his first three games as a member of the Warriors.

Prior to the end of the All-Star break, the Warriors received some positive news about a potential return to the court for Porzingis. On Tuesday, Porzingis participated in practice with the Warriors. Following his practice on Tuesday, Porzingis is set to scrimmage with the Warriors on Wednesday. After the scrimmage, the Warriors will determine if the veteran big man is available for Thursday's contest against his former team, the Boston Celtics.

Porzingis has missed the last 17 games with Achilles tendonitis. Prior to missing time, Porzingis is averaging 17.1 points on 45.7% shooting from the field and 36% from deep to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest.

In their first game back from the All-Star break, the Warriors will meet the Celtics on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. PT.
