Baylor Drops Road Test to No. 24 Louisville at Dickies Arena

FORT WORTH, Texas (FOX 44) — Baylor went toe-to-toe with No. 24 Louisville for the first half, but a cold night from beyond the arc ultimately doomed the Bears in an 82-71 loss Saturday at Dickies Arena.

Baylor, now 3-9 in Big 12 play connected on just 2 of 22 shots from 3-point range. The Bears held on in the first half, deadlocked 34-34 at halftime and showed fight early, matching Louisville possession for possession before the Cardinals found another gear after the break. But Louisville shot 65% in the second half and outscored Baylor 48-37 over the final 20 minutes.

Isaac Williams IV led the Bears with 20 points, Tounde Yessoufou added 16 and Michael Rataj chipped in 11 as Baylor tried to keep pace.

The Bears now turn their focus to the road, traveling to Manhattan, Kansas on Tuesday to face Kansas State as they look to snap their Big 12 skid.
