Manolo Cadenas Coaches Teen After Cancer Battle

Veteran handball coach Manolo Cadenas has begun private training with 16-year-old Manu, a cancer survivor who lost significant weight during his battle with sarcoma myeloid.

After Manu, a young León native, spent eight months hospitalized with a severe case of sarcoma myeloid (a type of cancer), veteran handball coach Manolo Cadenas stepped in to help. The coach approached Manu's father and said, "Leave him to me," beginning individual training sessions with the teenager who had lost so much weight he was down to just 50 kilograms. amunra-online.pl

Despite trying to downplay his involvement, Cadenas has taken on the challenge of helping Manu, who had previously been called up to the lower categories of the Castilla y León selection before his illness. The dedicated coaching comes as part of Manu's recovery journey after accumulating approximately 200 days in isolation during his treatment.
