Despite struggling at the plate, including slugger Munetaka Murakami who had just one hit and struck out five times, the team celebrated their historic achievement. 'It means everything for our fans,' said Chase Meidroth, who hit a three-run homer in Wednesday's win. 'They have been incredible all year.' Manager Will Venable expressed pride in his team's belief throughout the season. The White Sox will now face AL Central champion Cleveland in the AL Division Series beginning Saturday in Cleveland.
