McCarthy Practices with Giants, Role Unclear

McCarthy is practicing with the Giants for the first time since joining the team following a trade from Minnesota. Coach John Harbaugh has confirmed that Jameis Winston will start at quarterback Sunday against Arizona, but the Giants have not specified if McCarthy or practice squad QB Jake Haener will back up.

The Giants acquired McCarthy by giving up a fifth-round pick after losing Jaxson Dart and linebacker Brian Burns to season-ending injuries. Harbaugh praised McCarthy as a 'very talented player who is going to make us a stronger football team.' Winston completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards in the Giants' 12-7 win over Tennessee last week. cricket-ipl.co.za
