Judge Calf Injury Doubts for Yankees

Yankees superstar Aaron Judge's calf injury has created uncertainty about his availability for the upcoming AL Wild Card Series, with manager Aaron Boone not expecting his return while Judge himself remains hopeful.

Following a recent three-month absence due to a rib stress fracture, Aaron Judge returned to the Yankees lineup on Sept. 8 but was quickly placed back on the injured list on Sept. 17 with a right calf strain. In his brief 7-game return, Judge posted a .174 batting average with one home run and three RBIs.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone expressed doubt about Judge's participation in the AL Wild Card Series (Sept. 29-Oct. 1), stating, "We're planning on him not being a part of that." However, Judge told ESPN his plan is to return for the series, pushing back on Boone's description of the injury as "moderate." The three-time AL MVP's availability remains uncertain as the Yankees prepare for their playoff matchup. forumteam.blog
