BBC Sport insists it remains fully committed to women's football despite discontinuing its flagship BBC One highlights show for the new season.

The BBC plans to shift focus to digital platforms, specifically a new YouTube chat show hosted by Alex Scott, to showcase highlights instead of the weekly television programme.
